About Us

We love to travel.  Like, we really love to travel.  Any chance we get we pack up our family and head out on an adventure. 

From before we met, then as a married couple, and now as a family of four, we have run the gamut on travel styles; we have bunked at hostels, lounged at five-star resorts, and camped at countless National Parks.  After much thought, I've realized our preferred travel style is that we don't actually have one; we will just as happily bougie-it-up at an opera in Europe as we will go 7 days without a shower primitive camping.  Not having a defined or preferred travel style has afforded us the opportunity to experience a wide range of countries, cultural activities, and adventures, each one providing a unique perspective.

To date, we have traveled to 70 unique countries on 6 continents (Antarctica still eludes us, but we'll get there!) and taken our kids to 30 of them.  We have also been fortunate enough to specialize in what I like to call "long travel"; trips lasting a month or more, often 6-8 weeks.  Spending two months in a small region of the world really allows you to learn the country or countries on a more intimate level.

We also have a daughter with severe food and environmental allergies, and have been traveling, safely, with her since she was little.  We always felt that her allergies were just a part of her and something she had to manage, and we never wanted her to feel like they defined her.  While traveling, we always made a point to ensure she was safe, and that she didn't feel ostracized because of her allergies.

Now that you know a little about us, you want to know something else?  We are also passionate about planning and making our travel as easy as possible.  Countless hours are spent researching not only destinations, flights, and accommodations, but endless hours are spent wandering the internet looking for just the right gear to make our travel life easier.  Not just the gear, but all the extras too, like fun matching family outfits, travel-themed toys and activities, books, and ways to organize trip memorabilia.  We love surprising our girls with destination themed items to get them excited about a trip, or better yet, to surprise them with a trip all together.

We've scoured the internet and compiled collections of our favorite travel gear that we hope will make your travel experience that much easier, both before, during, and when you return from your trip.  We've also included a corner where you can learn about all things family travel and get inspiration for your next trip.
